Okanagan Children’s Choir aims to provide young people with a positive and nurturing environment where they can strive for musical excellence surrounded by friends and supporters. Founded in September 2015, OCC welcomes singers in grades 4-7 and OCC Youth welcomes singers in grades 8-11. Because of the current times that we’re in, adapting to life with Covid-19 as part of our daily reality, and because of the possibility of singing being a super spreader of Covid-19, our music making will be all online this term. Of course, we know that this is not ideal and we look forward to the day when we can all be back together in the rehearsal hall and on the concert stage. We hope this day will come sooner than later. But for now, we’re excited about the possibilities that the online medium provides us to continue being together as a community, to continue honing our musical skills, and to work with other young singers and choral experts from around the world.
